Aurora's Dolphin Dreaming

Miss Aurora down for the afternoon nap. Who knows what babies dream of? We can only guess.

I think they dream of boobies, smiles and beautiful loving eyes squinting at them…

I dunno. I’m just jealous of being able to sleep like that! She’s so obviously thinking hard….wonder if she’s plotting ways to rule the world.

She looks healthy and loved. I think sleep is the only time babies have to categorize and play with all the wonderful things they’ve seen and learned throughout their awake time. (We never stop playing with them, bouncing them, talking to them, and looking at them when their eyes are open so sleep is the only “play” time they have. Entertaining us grown-ups is a huge job, ya know. LOL!)

P.S. You wrote another incredible post over at LWOS—I wish I had been as in-tune to my oldest son when he was that age. I don’t think parents realize that reading can evolve quite naturally just from writing. Now, I see my 4 yo dd doing exactly the same thing and like you I just help when she asks and shut up the rest of the time. Actually, LOL! that might be one of the golden rules of parenting. Hmm, I’ll have to think about that….
