About

In July of 2006, Laureen and Jason were startled to discover that despite all the various hopes, dreams, and aspirations of their youth, they’d somehow found themselves being garden-variety desk-driving SUV-owning suburbanites. And they were slightly ill. So late one evening, after the boys were tucked in and the lights were low, they dared to start dreaming again. They told each other stories about what they wanted out of their life together. And in no time at all, they’d discovered that the shape of their collective dream was a ship. And that the children’s futures were the stars they had to sail her by. And that was enough to get started with.

    Twitter….
Hi again, just wanted to let you know the twitter thing on your blog is not working for m.
I’m no expert, but it feels like I opened Time Magazine and found a bunch of headlines.
I read blogs to get a bit of depth, character and personal angle on things.
Twitter sterilizes all that and makes it uninteresting.

Just a comment on Twitter inside the blog, no issue w/T per se.

Guy Stevens talk last night at Spaulding was decent. Lots of good tips on how to look at every piece of your boat from a safety standpoint, not just functional.

A gem was: Do your halyards reach the water? How will you pull your 250lb mate out of the water with a halyard that only reaches to deck?

    Take care,

    Mark
