Blue Water Crew!

News flash! Jason’s just gotten an opportunity to do some blue water sailing! He’ll be helping our friends on the s/v Don Quixote get their boat from Neah Bay south to San Francisco. It’s a bonus situation; Jason gets the experience of crewing down that part of the Pacific coast, and the crew of Don Quixote gets the presence of someone who knows SF Bay traffic better than John Cota.

I must say I’m bummed; a passage like that is no place for a nine week old baby and her mama. So the kids and I are headed out to Nevada, so Grandma can ride herd while I keep bringing in the kibble. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. But you can bet I’ll be holding Jason’s feet to the fire to blog this one; it’s going to be awesome!

Got any tips? Leave ‘em in the comments…

You know we’d take you if we could, babe. I wasn’t even going to invite Jason… seemed like a really mean thing to do actually. A new papa shouldn’t get a vacation from daddyhood this soon. However, we’re looking forward to having him aboard. Maybe he can tell us how to drive this condomaran a little faster.

That totally rocks, what a fantastic expedition - but Jason isn’t totally on daddy vacation - he gets to learn blue water, and juggling 3 girls - all good learning. I’ll ask Donovan what he would want to learn in the same sitch - see what he says. He’s just finished his w/e match racing, they came fourth, pretty good first outing. I’ll see him soon for dinner. How long will he be away for??
