More Sewage in the Bay

Another newsworthy from my pal Jonathan:

http://cbs5.com/local/Sausalito.sewage.spill.2.792191.html

Notice the article mentions the rate at which it flowed twice… but never mentions total amount. That’s… nervous making. They say the wildlife isn’t affected… have they asked the benthos what they think? Probably not. Just checked out the fuzzy critters that people can actually see and be concerned about.

I am totally blown away at how much sewage has dumped, untreated, into the Bay this year from Marin sewers. Hello, the wealthiest county on the Bay and they can’t manage to manage their own sewage systems? Apalling. And another good reason to avoid the beach at Angel Island for a while.
